Ian Jacobs, founder of Surelook Homes, started contracting in Kenton-on-sea in 1990 after completing a Diploma in Civil Engineering at the Port Elizabeth Technikon.
Surelook Homes Trust was then established in 1992 and for the past 18 years has been involved in various construction and civil works projects including residential home building, civil works for the Mobil/Engine changeover and Shell Garage upgrades around the Port Elizabeth area.
They were also involved, for a period of about 10 years, in the building of MTN cell phone sites around the Eastern Cape, Transkei and eastern parts of the Western Cape.
This history and diverse experience in the construction industry has resulted in a focus on their passion to build houses that are not only an architecturally superb asset to any area, but are also liveable and completely practical, providing any family with the ease and the opportunity to make one of their houses a home.
Surelook Homes is presently involved in the construction of homes in the Katberg Eco Estate (where they are approved contractors), a new house and a number of alterations in Kenton-on-Sea.
They were also involved in the construction of a Tuscan style house and cottage on a farm in the Winelands, near Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, which has become a showcase of their unique and diverse skill set and a culmination of their many years experience in the construction industry.
Surelook Homes also takes pride in community development and their pro bono work includes the project management of three additional classrooms and a new netball field at Kenton Primary School.
